          p is the proportion factor

    n=3.8416$\times$ $\frac{0.1\times 0.9}{0.0009}$


    n=$\frac{0.345744}{0.0009}$=384.16≈384



    Answer  :  

    n=384



  2. Determine the sample size when Z=1.96, p=0.3, c=0.04?


    Step 1 :  

    The given values are


    Z=1.96, p=0.3, c=0.04



    Step 2 :  

    n=1.962$\times$ $\frac{0.3(1-0.3)}{0.04^{2}}$


    n=3.8416$\times$ $\frac{0.3\times 0.7}{0.0016}$


    n = $\frac{0.806736}{0.0016}$ = 504.21≈504
