    Step 1 :  

    Given: Battery Capacity = 20 mA, load current = 15 mA.



    Step 2 :  

    The battery life is given by


    Battery life = $\frac{Battery\ Capacity}{Load\ current}$ $\times$ 0.707


                    = $\frac{20 mA/hr}{15 mA}$ $\times$ 0.707


                    = 0.94 hr



    Answer  :  

    Hence the battery life is 0.94 hr



  2. If the battery life is 0.5 hr. If a current of 30 mA flows in the battery calculate the battery capacity.


    Step 1 :  

    Given: Battery life = 20 mA, load current = 30 mA.



    Step 2 :  

    Battery Capacity is given by


    Battery Capacity = $\frac{Battery\ life\ \times Load\ Current}{0.707}$


                            = $\frac{0.5\ hr \times 30\ mA}{0.707}$


                            = 21.21 mA



    Answer  :  

    Battery Capacity is 21.21 mA.
