Step 3 :  

Apply the formula: Cos θ = $\frac{b}{c}$



Step 4 :

    Step 1 :  

    Given that:

    adjacent side(b) = 4cm
    hypotenuse(c) = 5cm



    Step 2 :  

    Sin θ = $\frac{a}{c}$ = $\frac{3}{5}$ = 0.6



    Step 3 :  

    Cos θ = $\frac{b}{c}$ = $\frac{4}{5}$ = 0.8



    Step 4 :  

    Tan θ = $\frac{a}{b}$$\frac{3}{4}$ = 0.75



    Answer  :  

    Sin θ = 0.6
    Cos θ = 0.8
    Tan θ = 0.75



  2. Find the ratios sin theta, Cos theta and Tan theta of a right angle having opposite side and adjacent side are 6cm and 8cm respectively?


    Step 1 :  

    Given that:
    opposite side(a) = 6cm
    adjacent side(b) = 8cm
    To find c, apply Pythagorean theorem
    c = $\sqrt{a^{2} + b^{2}}$
    c = $\sqrt{6^{2} + 8^{2}}$
    c = $\sqrt{100}$
    c = 10 cm



    Step 2 :  

    Sin θ = $\frac{a}{c}$ = $\frac{6}{10}$ = 0.6



    Step 3 :  

    Cos θ = $\frac{b}{c}$ = $\frac{8}{10}$ = 0.8



    Step 4 :  

    Tan θ = $\frac{a}{b}$$\frac{6}{8}$ = 0.75



    Answer  :  

    Sin θ = 0.6
    Cos θ = 0.8
    Tan θ = 0.75
