Work Calculator
Top
Work Calculator is an online tool for calculating Work easily. It takes the inputs and calculates the Work, so it is handy for solving problems requiring Work Calculations.

Step by Step Calculation

Step 1 :

Work(W) Formula:

Work(W) = Force(F)*Distance(D)
Force(F) = Work(W)/Distance(D)
Distance(D) = Work(W)/Force(F)

Step 2 :

State the equation you plan to use and plug in the values.

Example Problems

  1. How much work is done if a force of 40 N is used to displace an object 5 m?

    Step 1 :

    Given that force(F) = 40N, distance(D) = 5m and work(W) = ?

    Step 2 :

    Work(W) = Force(F)*Distance(D)

                 = 40*5

                 = 200

    Answer  :

    Work(w) = 200J

  2. How much force is required to do 106.74 J of work over a displacement of 18.1 m?

    Step 1 :

    Given that work(W) = 106.74J, distance(D) = 18.1m and force(F) = ?

    Step 2 :

    Force(F) = Work(W)/Distance(D)

                = 106.74/18.1

                = 5.897

    Answer  :

    Force(F) = 5.897N
