    length of lever arm(I) = 0.5m
    Force(F) = 4 N
    Moment(M) = ?



    Step 2 :  

    Substitue the given values in the formula:
    Momemt: M = F × I
    M = 4 × 0.5
    M = 2



    Answer  :  

    M = 2 N-m



  2. The width of a window is 0.68m. If the moment produced which causes the window to open is  5.44 N-m, then calculate the force to open the window?


    Step 1 :  

    Given that:
    length of lever arm(I) = 0.68m
    Force(F) = ?
    Moment(M) = 5.44



    Step 2 :  

    Substitue the given values in the formula:
    Force: F = M / I
    F = 5.44 / 0.68
    F = 8
