    Step 1 :  

    Given that:
    Distance(D) = 4m
    Force(F) = m×a = 6kg × 9.8m/s2 = 58.8N
    Torque(T) = ?



    Step 2 :  

    Substitue the given values in the formula:
    Torque: T = F × D
    T = 58.8 × 4
    T = 235.2 N-m



    Answer  :  

    T = 235.2 N-m



  2. If a cue stick struck a 0.26 kg billiard, 3 cm from the axis of rotation, with a tangential acceleration of 0.6m/s^2.  What was the torque that was applied?


    Step 1 :  

    Given that:
    Distance(D) = 3cm = (3/100)m = 0.03 m
    Force(F) = m×a = 0.26kg × 0.6m/s2 =  0.156N
    Torque(T) = ?



    Step 2 :  

    Substitue the given values in the formula:
    Torque: T = F × D
    T = 0.156 × 0.03
    T = 0.005N-m



    Answer  :  

    T = 0.005N-m
